There are a lot of variations of this unique way to provide guest interaction to your web site, and recently I have had the need to explore some the google map api capabilities.

As part of a series of tutorials, I have decided to decompose an application that I have developed named Diet Partner.

the tutorials will be broken down by by components of the architecture:

1) Data Access Layer
2) Application caching architecture
3) Software License handling
4) Rendered UI controls
5) custom Graphing engine

the tutorials will be geared towards intermediate developers interested in designing highly graphical interfaces using the compact framework.

If you run into issues with synchronizing your TV program guide in Windows Media Center 2005, and the issue is either a Code 13 or 33 error do the following:
1. Open up the Date/Time control panel.
2. Make sure your date and time are properly set. (if they weren't, try downloading the program guide again).
3. Click on the 3rd tab, which controls network time synchronization.
4. Try sync'ing to time.windows.com or the NIST server.
5a. If this fails, make sure that Port 37 is open on your firewall.
6. Once Port 37 (Network Time Protocol) is open, you should be all set and your program guide should download fine.

Agile Development a.k.a. MSF v4.0

To get the foundation set I will be blogging on matters pertaining to the project lifecycle and project management methodologies. of the new flavor is the MSF 4.0 that Microsoft is standardizing...

Microsoft Solutions Framework next version 4 explicitly includes elements from Agile Methods for software development [1], some of these elements will have built-in support [2] in next version of Visual Studio .NET

Intel(R)

Getting ready for a 3 day Intel developer workshop in houston. learning more about migrating code to 64bit architectures. should be good, look forward to seeing another state for a change (California recluse!!) witll post back any findings or usefull knowledge I collect. the best part is that we will get our hands on an Itanium 64 server for jsut a tad over 2k (thats ~10k sakings)..

more info:

HP and IntelĀ®, in conjunction with our Workshop sponsor Novell SUSE, have developed a series of tracks/courses designed to help start your migration effort to the HP ItaniumĀ®-based server family. These tracks assume a baseline level of knowledge about developing code in similar environments. The focus at this workshop series is on moving existing code to the Itanium Microarchitecture.

and the Course Descriptions
